Ethical Code for Virtual Worlds: Who Will Write the Rules of the Game?

As the creator of my own metaverse, I am deeply immersed in the issues of regulation of this rapidly developing technology. South Korea's preparation of ethical guidelines for metaverses is an important step that should attract the attention of the entire global community.

Many people underestimate the speed with which metaverses are entering our lives. Unlike past technological revolutions, we do not have decades to assess risks and develop legal norms. Metaverses are already here, and we must act quickly.

South Korea’s initiative to fund the creation of a metaverse with clear ethical principles is an example of how the state can not only regulate, but actively participate in shaping the future of digital worlds. We need more such initiatives around the world.

All market participants should unite to create common standards. Only then can we build a safe and fair digital space.

Metaverses are not a distant prospect, but our new reality. Let’s shape it responsibly, starting now.
