Worldcoin - Scam of the Century

Immediately after the listing, Worldcoin announced a "charitable" collection of personal data. The greedy crowd ran happily to hand over their biometrics, not really thinking about the consequences. And only a small part thought about the problem of privacy and data protection.

Almost immediately, Worldcoin gained a mixed reputation. On the one hand, proponents argue that the collection of biometrics can be used to create a unique digital identity, helping to combat fraud and ensure online security. On the other hand, critics point to the risks of misusing this information, the possible violation of privacy and the potential creation of AI that will imitate a person with even greater accuracy.

In narrow circles, the “token for the most greedy” was given to the project not because of its controversial data collection policy, but also because of the economic model aimed at a limited number of holders. After all, more than 90% of the coins are contained only in the twenty largest wallets, which is why this project can be safely called the most “decentralized”.

Lado Okhotnikov, founder of the Meta Force Metaverse, is wary of technology based on sensitive data,

“Two different Sams, but the situations are similar. Bankman-Freedom was also considered successful and trusted a lot, and as a result, law enforcement became interested in him because of the recently collapsed FTX crypto exchange. Altman, the founder of ChatGPT, is still a "dark horse" for many, who is watched with curiosity."

As long as Worldcoin remains in the spotlight, no matter which direction it takes, the project has already left an indelible mark on the era of the digital revolution.
