About business freedom

I was asked a very interesting question: where are the boundaries of business freedom?Maybe the SEC and other regulators are right to take control of the crypto business?

Here I have a principled position:initially, freedom should have no borders, otherwise it’s not freedom. Borders will appear,it’s a natural process of organization of society,but they will be established not by the state or authorities,but by the participants of business.Society is a self-regulating system that will set the rules for coexistence.A state that tries to set its own rules changes the natural course of history.Short-term benefits may be achieved,but strategically society as a whole loses.

The modern capitalist economy is under tremendous pressure from a variety of regulators.Have they done any good?For a short time - yes,however,regulation has been one of the causes of the developing crisis.And that same regulation has led to global inequality that is exacerbating the crisis.

Let’s look at specific examples.What good does the SEC offer for crypto business?Nothing. The head of the SEC Gary Gensler admitted that he considers cryptocurrency as a tool for money laundering and terrorist financing.His desire to oppose almost all crypto-projects is understandable. According to the logic of regulators,should we agree with this?In fact,we are asked to close the business while being grateful to the state for the care of people.

In response,they say:"SEC is an extreme case, you need reasonable regulation".The problem is that reasonable regulation will become unreasonable.This is the feature of any power, and history proves it.

It may seem that I am calling for the abolition of all business regulations now. Unfortunately, this is impossible and unwise. You can’t change society’s mentality overnight. Deregulation is a process that can stretch across a generation. And by the way, when we talk about freedom, we must recognize the freedom of those who want to be governed. The right to choose must always be available to all.
